THE PREDICTION
Two out-of-form sides in danger of missing out on European qualification altogether meet at BORUSSIA-PARK. Borussia Monchengladbach have lost five of their last six games in all competitions and slumped to ninth in the league following last Saturday’s 3-2 defeat at RB Leipzig, where they had led 2-0. They were also knocked out of the cup by coach Marco Rose’s future employers Borussia Dortmund in midweek. Bayer Leverkusen’s poor form goes back to just before Christmas, with the Werkself winning just three of their last 15 matches in all competitions and not managing a single clean sheet in that time. Under-fire coach Peter Bosz also has a lengthy absentee list to contend with here, including first-choice goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky and key creator Leon Bailey. Both teams are always capable of scoring, though, and after the reverse fixture ended 4-3, backing them both to do just that looks a good bet.
