THE PREDICTION

Augsburg went down to their fourth defeat in five games at Borussia Dortmund last Saturday and they remain dangerously close to the bottom three. They are also winless in their last six encounters with Wolfsburg, losing three and drawing three. The Wolves, on the other hand, travel to Bavaria in excellent form looking to continue their march up the table. Wednesday’s 1-0 win at home to Schalke in the DFB Cup was their fourth consecutive win without conceding. With a solid defence, an excellent midfield pairing in Xaver Schlager and Maximilian Arnold, and an in-form Wout Weghorst up front, coach Oliver Glasner has a settled, well-functioning team at the moment, and they are fancied to not only win here but also to record a clean sheet against an Augsburg side who have found the net six times in their last eight games.
