THE TEAM NEWS
EINTRACHT FRANKFURT
- Eintracht Frankfurt were beaten 2-1 at Augsburg last Saturday before losing 3-0 at home to Arsenal in their opening Europa League group match, with the Eagles guilty of wasting chances in both games.
- Coach Adi Hutter will check on ex-Dortmund man Sebastian Rode, who missed Thursday's match with a niggling knee problem, while fellow midfielder Mijat Gacinovic is expected to miss out again.
- Top scorer Goncalo Paciencia is almost certain to be recalled up front having started on the bench against Arsenal and there could be further rotation.
Predicted line-up (3-4-1-2): Trapp; Abraham, Hasebe, Hinteregger; Da Costa, Fernandes, Kohr, Kostic; Kamada; Andre Silva, Goncalo Paciencia
Unavailable: Russ (Injured)
Doubtful: Gacinovic (Injured), Rode (Injured), De Guzman (Injured)
BORUSSIA DORTMUND
- Borussia Dortmund impressively dominated against Barcelona in the Champions League in midweek and were only denied three points by an outstanding goalkeeping display.
- Full-backs Nico Schulz and Lukasz Piszczek remain doubtful while star man Jadon Sancho will be assessed after picking up a knock against Barcelona.
- Coach Lucien Favre is without all three of his back-up goalkeepers because of injury so he will have to take a youngster from the U23 squad to fill the spot on the bench.
Predicted line-up (4-2-3-1): Burki; Hakimi, Hummels, Akanji, Raphael Guerreiro; Witsel, Delaney; Sancho, Reus, Brandt; Paco Alcacer
Unavailable: Unbehaun (Injured), Hitz (Injured), Oelschlagel (Injured)
Doubtful: Morey (Injured), Schulz (Injured), Piszczek (Injured), Sancho (Injured)
THE PREDICTION
The last seven meetings between these two sides in all competitions have seen both teams score and it would not be at all surprising if that was the case on Sunday. Frankfurt have found the net in all four of their league games this season, while Dortmund are the highest scorers in the division.
