THE PREDICTION

Hamburger SV need to get back to winning ways if they are to avoid missing out on promotion again, and this would be a good place to start against leaders Bochum. Daniel Thioune’s side are winless in five after Monday’s 1-1 draw with fellow promotion rivals Holstein Kiel, and have only won one of their last six away matches. Bochum were also in action against another team battling for promotion last weekend, claiming their fourth win in five league games at Greuther Furth. They have won seven of their last eight at the Ruhrstadion, six of them by a margin of two or more goals. This is likely to be a closer contest but with Hamburg looking shaky and missing some important defenders for this one, Bochum should be fancied to get another crucial three points.
