THE TEAM NEWS
ST. PAULI
- It is five games without a win for St. Pauli after they squandered a two-goal lead by conceding two late goals at home to Karlsruher SC last Saturday.
- Coach Jos Luhukay is hoping that James Lawrence will be fit after missing the last couple of games, which would be a big boost with fellow centre-backs Christopher Avevor and Niklas Hoffmann still sidelined.
- Lawrence has been training individually along with Park Yi-Young and Luis Coordes, while Marvin Knoll may have to settle for a place on the bench again.
Predicted line-up (4-2-3-1): Himmelmann; Zander, Ostigard, Buballa, Penney; Flum, Becker; Miyaichi, Daehli, Sobota; Diamantakos
Unavailable: Avevor (Injured), Brodersen (Injured), Buchtmann (Injured), Conteh (Injured), Hoffmann (Injured)
Doubtful: Park Yi-Young (Injured), Coordes (Injured), Lawrence (Injured)
BOCHUM
- Bochum claimed their first home win of the season against Nurnberg on Monday and although they remain in the bottom three, they are just three points from eighth place.
- Coach Thomas Reis only named five substitutes against Nurnberg with Saulo Decarli missing out due to injury and Silvere Ganvoula suspended, but both are set to return here.
- Manuel Wintheimer and Simon Lorenz were the players who replaced those two and both could drop back to the bench despite scoring, while right-back Cristian Gamboa remains a doubt.
Predicted line-up (4-2-3-1): Riemann; Celozzi, Decarli, Bella-Kotchap, Danilo Soares; Losilla, Tesche; Zoller, Lee Chung-Yong, Blum; Ganvoula
Unavailable: Leitsch (Injured), Fabian (Injured), Bapoh (Injured)
Doubtful: Saglam (Injured), Decarli (Injured), Gamboa (Injured)
THE PREDICTION
Bochum have not won at the Millerntor since February 2014 and they have only managed one win in their last 14 away matches in Bundesliga II. St. Pauli's home form this season has been pretty good, with just one loss in their last five home league games, so they should be fancied.
