THE LOWDOWN

LE HAVRE

Following promotion to the top-flight for the first time in over 15 years last season, Le Havre have actually enjoyed a relatively impressive campaign for large parts but have actually ended up slipping down towards the bottom three and the danger zone with Le Havre now in a bit of bother as we head into the run in.

They, still coached by former Slovenia international Luka Elsner, come into this one on the back of an impressive 1-1 draw with Lens at Stade Bollaert-Delelis, last weekend, in their most recent outing. Emmanuel Sabbi scored a 78th minute equalising penalty in that game after Przemyslaw Frankowski opened the scoring after 58 minutes.

NANTES

Nantes are already onto their third manager of the campaign after both Pierre Aristouy and Jocelyn Gourvennac were already sacked earlier this season. Antoine Kombouare returned to the club during the March international break and began his latest stint in charge with an impressive and surprising 2-1 defeat of Nice at the Allianz Riviera on Easter Sunday.

However, Nantes followed that up by losing by three goals to one against Olympique Lyonnais in their most recent outing, last weekend, at Stade de la Beaujoire – Louis Fonteneau. They took a 16th minute lead via Matthieu Abline before Lyon scored three late goals from Alexandre Lacazette, Malick Fofana and Gift Orban.

THE TEAM NEWS

LE HAVRE

Le Havre have no injury concerns or suspension issues for this weekend’s visit of Nantes so they will be able to name an unchanged eleven for this one.

QUESTIONABLE:

NANTES

Attacking duo Tino Kadewere and Moses Simon are both unavailable for Nantes due to injury, whilst defender Eray Comert is missing through suspension.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Lafont; Amian, Duverne, Castelletto, Cozza; Augusto, Chirivella; Mollet, Sissoko, Abline; Mohamed

UNAVAILABLE: Comert (Suspended), Kadewere (Injured), Simon (Injured), Meupiyou (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE:

THE PREDICTION

Nantes have shown major improvement in the two matches that Kombouare has been back in charge of, even though they collapsed at the end of last weekend’s clash against a very strong Lyon side. Le Havre are in serious trouble after what has been a really weak calendar year but they will be confident of at least keeping this contest tight and even. A low-scoring Nantes victory is to be expected for this one.

TIP: NANTES TO WIN & UNDER 3.5 GOALS
