THE LOWDOWN

SHEFFIELD UNITED

Sheffield United, coached by Chris Wilder, have shown some genuine fight and improvement in the last month and a half or so but the Blades are simply awaiting their inevitable fate of relegation straight back down to the Championship to be mathematically confirmed. They begin the final six matces of the season sitting ten points adrift of safety.

The bottom-of-the-table South Yorkshire outfit come into this on the back of another hard-working defeat at the Gtech Community Stadium in their most recent outing last weekend against Brentford. Oliver Arblaster scored an own goal mid-way through the second-half before Frank Onyeka sealed what was a 2-0 loss for Sheffield United.

BURNLEY

Vincent Kompany, who served a touchline ban last weekend against Brighton and Hove Albion, would have been left immensely frustrated as the Clarets were pegged back by the Seagulls to a 1-1 draw at Turf Moor as a result of a major Arijanet Muric error with the Kosovan international allowing the ball to roll under his foot and drop two points for his relegation battling side.

That was the second successive week that a major Muric error had directly contributed to a goal with the former Manchester City goalkeeper caught hesitant at Goodison Park a week earlier, allowing Dominic Calvert-Lewin to score Everton’s winner by simply blocking Muric’s clearance. Burnley begin the weekend sitting six points adrift of safety.

THE TEAM NEWS

SHEFFIELD UNITED

The Blades could welcome back Rhian Brewster after he returned to team training, whilst Daniel Jebbison has also been described as ‘back on the grass’.

THE PREDICTION

It could well be that we have a bit of a thriller at Bramall Lane, albeit it will likely be completely irrelevant to the end of season standings. Burnley do have a chance of survival but they simply have to win this one against a Sheffield United side that have been improving. The Blades have shown some fight and now have home advantage against a fellow struggler so will likely be on the front foot. Burnley have been playing an attacking style throughout the campaign are now in a 4-4-2 shape with several attackers so backing both teams scoring would look good for this one.

TIP: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
