THE LOWDOWN

LIVERPOOL

  • Liverpool produced one of their best performances of the season to see off Leeds 1-6 on Monday and Jurgen Klopp will hope that display will spur them on to a positive end to the season.
  • Roberto Firmino misses out on account of a muscle issue, but Luis Diaz made his return off the bench on Monday and is likely to get more minutes here.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST

  • It is now ten games without victory for Nottingham Forest, who are staring relegation in the face should they continue on their current path.
  • Steve Cooper stated that there was no change on the injury front which means that nine players are still warming the treatment room.

THE PREDICTION

Liverpool’s excellent performance against Leeds – which was reminiscent of previous, more successful seasons under Jurgen Klopp – was not entirely out of the blue given that they have produced similar displays on a couple of different occasions this season. However, they have often failed to follow that up with another positive result. Fortunately for them though, they face a relegation-threatened Forest side whose recent away form leaves a lot to be desired. Steve Cooper’s side have lost their last five away trips in the Premier League, and against opponents who appear to be operating far more effectively in attack, they could be on the end of another convincing defeat.

TIP: LIVERPOOL TO WIN & OVER 2.5 GOALS
