THE LOWDOWN

FULHAM

Former Hull City, Watford and Everton manager Marco Silva has overseen something of a bizarre and underwhelming campaign yet the Cottagers will be pleased with their current mid-table position as they head into the final few weeks of the Premier League campaign. They head into the final four games sitting seven points adrift of the top seven and the European spots.

The west Londoners are in danger of letting their 2023/24 campaign fizzle out this season as they come into this one on the back of a 3-1 defeat at home to Liverpool. The home team have now managed just one win in their last five matches since they returned from the March international break.

CRYSTAL PALACE

The reign of Oliver Glasner began quite badly following the sacking of Roy Hodgson in mid-February but the Eagles have been much-improved in the last few weeks with his style of football finally beginning to bed in as they push towards the middle-of-the-table. They come into this one on the back of three successive victories.

After defeating Liverpool by a goal to nil at Anfield, Palace then hammered capital city rivals West Ham United by five goals to two last weekend. They come into this one on the back of a 2-0 defeat of Newcastle United at Selhurst Park in midweek with in-form striker Jean-Philippe Mateta notching a brace.

THE TEAM NEWS

FULHAM

Unlike most teams in the Premier League, Marco Silva has been blessed with a fully fit and available squad for the vast majority of the campaign and that is more or less the case this weekend.

There is only one minor concern, though, with former Brazil international Willian a doubt for this one but Marco Silva has said that he 'should' be available.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Leno; Castagne, Adarabioyo, Bassey, Robinson; Joao Palhinha, Lukic; Iwobi, Andreas Pereira, Decordova-Reid; Rodrigo Muniz

UNAVAILABLE:

QUESTIONABLE: Willian (Injured)

CRYSTAL PALACE

Oliver Glasner has been dealt a bit of a blow for this weekend's clash against Fulham at Craven Cottage. Key attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze is a doubt due to a knee issue for this one.

The visitors are not expecting anyone to return for this weekend, though, with Sam Johnstone, Marc Guehi, Rob Holding, Cheick Doucoure, Jefferson Lerma and Matheus Franca all unavailable.

PREDICTED XI (3-4-2-1): Henderson; Clyne, Andersen, Richards; Munoz, Wharton, Hughes, Mitchell; Ayew, Olise; Mateta

UNAVAILABLE: Johnstone (Injured), Guehi (Injured), Holding (Injured), Doucoure (Injured), Lerma (Injured), Franca (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Eze (Injured)

THE PREDICTION

We have a London derby between two teams firmly ensconced in the middle-of-the-table and the first real ‘on the beach’ game with neither side capable of pushing for a top seven finish but neither anywhere near the relegation battle anymore. Fulham have been unpredictable and therefore quite fun to watch throughout this season, whilst Palace are finding their groove under Glasner. As a result, both teams scoring looks a good bet for this one at Craven Cottage.

TIP: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
