THE PREDICTION

West Ham continued their impressive recent fun of form under David Moyes, after coming from behind to beat Leeds Utd 1-2 at Elland Road. That victory was their fifth in the Hammers’ last six league games and despite the absence of key player Michail Antonio through injury, West Ham continue to go from strength to strength this season. Here they host Crystal Palace in a London derby, with the Eagles having picked up a point at the weekend, following a 1-1 draw with league leaders Tottenham Hotspur. As positive as that result was, Palace have now failed to keep a clean sheet since the opening weekend of the season, something that West Ham will be looking to seize upon with the likes of Jarrod Bowen and Pablo Fornals capable of taking advantage of a defensively dodgy visiting side. The hosts are looking like a really solid unit at present, with a strong midfield spine propped up by a well drilled defensive unit, not to mention a frontline capable of scoring crucial goals. It’s difficult not to see them using these strengths to overcome their local rivals here at the London Stadium.
