THE PREDICTION

An intriguing contest appears in prospect here between two strong attacking sides. Watford picked up a second away win of the season against Birmingham at the weekend, whilst Brentford brushed aside Nottingham Forest 1-3 at the City Ground. Here, the Hornets will likely start favourites with their strong home record, having won seven league matches so far this season at Vicarage Road compared to just two on the road. In Brentford however, they face tough opposition with the Bees unbeaten in their previous 11 Championship games. Whilst the result is difficult to call, this contest should be full of attacking intent on both sides of the field with 12 Watford goals scored in their last five home fixtures and nine in Brentford’s last five matches home and away. With that in mind, consider 2.5 goals scored in this one.
