THE PREDICTION

Blackburn come into this match following an unexpected week off after their midweek home game against Swansea was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. They’ll be hoping the break gives him a leg up on Middlesbrough, who were in action at Nottingham Forest just four days earlier. Blackburn matches normally result in goals for each side with eight of their last 11 games seeing both teams find the net. Tony Mowbray’s side won’t fear Middlesbrough on their own patch and a side with the likes of Adam Armstrong and Harvey Elliott will cause the hosts problems. However, that in turn could see gaps emerge in Blackburn’s backline and allow Neil Warnock’s men to take advantage. Whilst the result itself could go either way, both teams to score is expected.
