THE TEAM NEWS
MILLWALL
- Millwall are one of a number of sides still right in the mix for a play-off spot come the end of a season as they sit just two points behind sixth-placed Preston in eighth.
- Unbeaten in three games before the season was suspended, the Lions will be looking to rekindle that momentum leading up to this nine-match run-in.
- Manager Gary Rowett will have to make do without his assistant manager Callum Davidson after he left to become manager of St. Johnstone, however he does have a strong squad to choose from with Aiden O’Brien and Ben Thompson the only injury doubts.
DERBY
- Derby have suffered an indifferent season under Phillip Cocu but still have an outside chance of gaining a play-off place and a good start could see move right into contention.
- A lot will depend on marquee player Wayne Rooney with England’s all-time leading goalscorer set to feature prominently in the run-in.
- Cocu will have to make do without striker Jack Marriott who is suffering from a groin problem.
THE PREDICTION
This looks set to be an open affair and Derby will be forced to go on the offensive with the visitors desperate for three points to keep their slim play-off chances afloat. This could lead to their downfall with Millwall solid at the back under Rowett and the Lions could be set to sit deep and pick them off on the break. The home side should win, but both teams scoring would not be a surprise.
