THE PREDICTION
Under the management of former Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Bruno Lage, Botafogo have led the Brazilian Serie A table throughout much of the campaign. They come into this on the back of a poor run of form, though, with their 1-0 loss away to Corinthians last weekend making it four successive defeats across all competitions and they have managed just two wins in their last ten matches. They now face a Goias side that, coached by Armando Evangelista, are struggling as they begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting in the bottom four and the relegation places. Botafogo will be slight favourites for this one, especially with their home advantage, but, given their form, under 2.5 goals and a low-scoring win seems likely.
