THE PREDICTION
The Wellington Phoenix come into this on the back of a 4-0 defeat away to the Newcastle Jets last weekend. That made it back-to-back defeats for the Phoenix as they sit firmly in the middle-of-the-table. They will be without several players for this one, though, due to New Zealand’s OFC qualifiers. Oliver Sail, Tim Payne, Clayton Lewis, Ben Old and Ben Waine have all been called up to the Kiwi squad. They now come up against bottom-of-the-table Perth Glory. The Western Australians have endured a really tough campaign with marquee signing Daniel Sturridge yet to score or make any significant impact. Ruben Zadkovich has now replaced Richard Garcia but, as yet, only on an interim basis. However, given that the Phoenix will be without four key men from the spine of their team, a surprise away win could be on the cards in this one.
