The hosts, Cameroon, defeated AFCON debutants Gambia by two goals to nil in the quarter-finals. They are the tournament’s top scorers with 11 goals in their five games - remarkably, though, only Karl Toko Ekambi and Vincent Aboubakar have scored for the Cameroonians. They now come up against an Egypt side that, under the management of Carlos Queiroz, play in a very stereotypically Queiroz way - dull. They can be solid and stubborn with teams finding it difficult to break them down but they are way too reliant on Mohamed Salah. Cameroon, with home advantage, are the favourites for this one.
