THE PREDICTION
This match feels significantly more important from a Tottenham perspective than it does for Chelsea. The hosts have had just two days to prepare following their breathless 2-2 draw against Liverpool this past Sunday in the Premier League, whilst Spurs have benefitted from an extra day of rest. Antonio Conte’s side won’t take any unnecessary risks away from home, but against a team plagued by injuries and when taking into account Spurs’ notorious trophy drought, the expectation is that Conte’s men will more than hold their own in this first leg despite playing away from home. With that in mind, back Tottenham to gain at least draw if not victory here via the double chance market.
