Elina Svitolina vs Belinda Bencic prediction
Elina Svitolina will be eyeing a sixth quarter-final appearance at Roland-Garros when she faces Belinda Bencic for a seventh time.
The Ukrainian continued her excellent form with a 6-2 6-3 rout of Tamara Korpatsch.
Bencic was equally impressive in a 6-3 6-3 success against Peyton Stearns and is perhaps surprisingly featuring at this stage of the tournament for the very first time.
Svitolina leads their head-to-head 4-2 and has won the last four, with Belinda’s last victory coming way back in 2019. They met recently in Dubai with Svitolina prevailing 4-6 6-1 6-3.
The recent results of both players is solid and a similar outcome of it going to the wire seems likely, although we do very much favour Rome champion Elina to progress.
