He now faces another Dutch opponent in the form of Martijn Kleermaker, who is enjoying a stunning Alexandra Palace debut. Kleermaker held off a spirited Joe Cullen fightback last time out to squeeze through but his luck may run out here if his opponent plays to his ability. Wade was unconvincing in his opener but he rarely puts in successive under-par performances and the world number four is heavily fancied to progress.
