Cristian Garin vs Arthur Rinderknech prediction

Cristian Garin only entered the main draw as a lucky loser but made it through to the second-round of Wimbledon with a comfortable three set win over Chris Rodesch. Garin edged a tight first set on a tiebreak but then raced ahead to win 7-6 6-4 6-4. The Chilean did not get broken on his serve and this was his first win at the Championships since his superb run to the quarter-finals in 2022.

Arthur Rinderknech achieved the biggest win of his career so far as he stunned Alexander Zverev in a five set epic in a match which spanned two days. The Frenchman held his nerve to serve out the win, beating Zverev 7-6 6-7 6-3 6-7 6-4 on Centre Court. Rinderknech produced a stunning serving performance, hammering down 25 aces, winning 76% of first serve points and not losing serve throughout the whole match.

Rinderknech may be the favourite but a victory of that magnitude and over that duration may have taken a lot out of him. Garin has already enjoyed a run at Wimbledon before and will hope to continue his run at the event.

Cristian Garin vs Arthur Rinderknech tip: Over 3.5 sets
