- Warrington Wolves continued their brilliant run of form as they were able to overcome St. Helens in their Challenge Cup quarter-final last week to make it eight consecutive wins in all competitions.
- The Wolves have been the form team since the restart in play and they highlighted that in their win over Saints last week, but their attention will now revert to Super League as they attempt to cement their spot in the top four.
- They face a tricky task against Catalans Dragons but will be confident of success following their recent performances and they are boosted by the return of halfback Gareth Widdop although that is mitigated by the loss of Stefan Ratchford for this one.

- They controlled the game for large spells but Sam Kasiano’s late yellow card changed the game as it allowed the Red Devils to level the scores to force golden point and the man advantage worked in Salford’s favour as they crossed for the winning score.
- The Dragons’ squad is heading towards full fitness with only David Mead missing from what would be deemed their strongest 17 with Tom Davies returning to the squad for this important Super League clash.

Catalans Dragons were hugely disappointing in their top four clash with Wigan Warriors in their previous Super League clash and they will hope to produce better as they face another crucial contest against Warrington Wolves. The Dragons also performed poorly in their Challenge Cup loss last week so have it all to do if they are to put those efforts to bed, especially as they face an in-form Warrington. Having won their last eight games in all competitions, the Wolves are trending in the right direction to be involved in the mix for silverware and they are likely to extend their winning streak with another success in this one.
