But that was enough for Shaheen Shah Afridi to make his mark, the left-arm pacer bowling Tim Robinson on debut for New Zealand. Leading the attack, Shaheen will no doubt play a crucial role here for the hosts.
NEW ZEALAND
Losing a wicket in one of the only two balls bowled in the first T20i between these two nations was not what New Zealand would have wanted, especially with the player departing being debutant Tim Robinson. But the Black Caps bowlers will be chomping at the bit to get out and play here in Rawalpindi, as will the batters who will be expecting an excellent surface to play their shots on.

Even with just two deliveries bowled, it was enough to tell us that Pakistan are more than likely to dominate this entire series against a heavily weakened New Zealand.
