To put into perspective how difficult the task ahead is for Sri Lanka in these ODI fixtures, New Zealand have won each of their last five 50-over matches between their opponents here and appear nicely placed to extend that streak. The Black Caps finished the Test series strongly and are notoriously tough opposition on their own patch.
