Carlisle vs Salford prediction

Carlisle United come into this one on the back of a thrilling 4-2 defeat of a strong Altrincham side last week to move closer to the play-off spots in the National League, a few days after beating high-flying Harrogate Town with nine men. The Cumbrians are now unbeaten in their last seven matches across all competitions.

Having knocked on the door of League Two promotion for some time, Salford City are beginning to become runaway leaders in the fourth-tier after another heavy summer of spending. The Ammies began badly but have majorly improved and came from behind to defeat Exeter City by two goals to one last weekend.

Salford have been improving and strong for a couple of months now and they have a bit of depth, too, so should fancy themselves at Boundary Park.

Carlisle vs Salford tip: Salford to win & both teams to score
