Chesterfield vs Yeovil prediction

Play-off semi-finalists in each of the last two League Two seasons after romping to the 2023-24 National League title, Chesterfield have frustratingly drifted back down into the middle-of-the-table in the fourth-tier with Paul Cook’s Spireites hammered 4-1 by Newport County at Rodney Parade last week.

Yeovil Town head into this one on the back of a 2-0 defeat to FC Halifax Town in Yorkshire last weekend. The Glovers have been impressive in the National League so far this season as they sit fifth in the table. In the fourth qualifying round, Yeovil defeated Leatherhead by five goals to two at Huish Park.

Yeovil will fancy themselves to score in Chesterfield, given the hosts’ inconsistencies, but the League Two promotion challengers remain favourites with home advantage.
