  • Brazil have lost only one of their last eight World Cup qualifying matches (W4 D3).
  • Chile have won only one of their last 13 World Cup qualifying matches (D3 L9).
  • Chile have failed to score in ten of their last 13 World Cup qualifying matches.

Brazil vs Chile prediction

Carlo Ancelotti’s first games in charge of Brazil resulted in their automatic qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with a goalless draw in Ecuador preceding the 1-0 victory over Paraguay that secured their passage.

The remaining two games in CONMEBOL qualifying will be about creating cohesion as Ancelotti’s methods bed in, and this is perhaps the perfect fixture to do just that given that they face a Chile side who have endured a torrid campaign.

Chile are rock-bottom of the South American section with no hope of qualifying, and their most recent defeats in June spelled the end of Ricardo Gareca’s ill-fated stint in the hot seat. Nicolas Cordova is in temporary charge until a more permanent solution is found.

While it hasn’t been one of Brazil’s better campaigns, there is positivity around them now with Ancelotti in charge and they can be expected to flex their muscles here.

Brazil vs Chile tip: Brazil to win & over 3.5 goals
