Australia vs Netherlands prediction
Netherlands were made to work for their victory against Chile and were far from at their best. However, the world champions got the job done, winning 2-0 and will likely get better as the tournament goes on and they spend more and more time out on the field. Australia also won out, beating Japan 2-0.
It goes without saying that Netherlands are of a massively higher standard and a massive challenge for the Hockeyroos, who will need to be at their very best defensively to stand a chance of getting something from this match. But when you consider the attacking pieces at the disposal of head coach Raoul Ehren, it’s hard not to see Netherlands overwhelming Australia offensively and eventually coming out on top.
