- Scotland were again left disappointed by the weather as a second game in just eight days was washed out without a ball being bowled with this game now becoming the series decider.
- The abandonment will come as a huge blow to Scottish cricket who were hoping to showcase their talents against a top nation and they will be desperate for the weather to be kinder for this match.
- Tom Sole will be hoping for another shot in the side after making his ODI debut against Afghanistan whilst Michael Leask or Dylan Budge look set to replace the injured Richie Berrington.
SRI LANKA

- Sri Lanka will not have appreciated the weather causing the 1st ODI to be abandoned in what is a blow to their World Cup preparations and that might cause a rethink to how they approach this fixture.
- The Sri Lankans had named a strong squad for these fixtures but may have opted to rest a couple of those deemed as certain to be in the starting XI for the World Cup opener against New Zealand.
- With one less game to prepare for that, Sri Lanka might decide to field a stronger line-up in this game with new captain Dimuth Karunaratne set to be partnered by Avishka Fernando at the top of the order.
THE PREDICTION
The weather in Edinburgh caused the 1st ODI to be called off without a ball being bowled and this game is also likely to be affected but both teams will be hoping that they can at least get on the field for a decent period of time. Sri Lanka will be desperate to get onto the field as they try and put their recent poor form behind them and may even field a stronger team than they had planned with games running out before the World Cup with the tourists proving too strong should the game be played.
