PREDICTION
The fact that 11th plays host to 10th going into this weekend is either a measure of how much Everton have underperformed this season or that Brighton have exceeded even their own expectations. Truth be told it is probably something that lies somewhere in the middle. Both sides have relative distance between themselves and the relegation zone but the task of staying up is not yet complete.
Everton have lost three of the last four outings while Brighton are unbeaten in their last five and will undoubtedly be buoyed after their impressive win over Arsenal last weekend. Chris Hughton will be confident that his side can earn a point in his one but Everton will be looking to exert their authority at home and could egde the win.
MEMORABLE MEETING
The only previous Premier League meeting between these two clubs was back in October of last year. Brighton were seconds away from an historic victory over Everton but they were foiled right at the death when Wayne Rooney scored an injury time penalty to give the Toffees a share of the points.
