All-time meetings: Kolkata Knight Riders W3, Delhi Capitals W1
Last meeting: Delhi Capitals beat Kolkata Knight Riders on a Super Over

THE TEAM NEWS
KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS
Coach: Jacques Kallis
Captain: Dinesh Karthik
- Kolkata Knight Riders succumbed to defeat in the top of the table clash with Chennai Super Kings on Tuesday on a difficult pitch that their big hitting batsmen struggled to cope with, other than Andre Russell who hit another superb innings to make the game competitive at least.
- After four consecutive matches on the road, KKR return home for three games on home turf that they will look to take advantage of as they welcome the Capitals, against whom they have a good record, despite losing earlier in the tournament in Delhi on a Super Over.
- Despite the loss on Tuesday, they are highly unlikely to make any knee-jerk reactions and change the team around so this could easily be the same eleven with Harry Gurney expected to retain his place in the starting eleven after two relatively good performances.
DELHI CAPITALS
Coach: Ricky Ponting
Captain: Shreyas Iyer
- Delhi Capitals bounced back from the last couple of defeats to beat Royal Challengers Bangalore last time out and they now have three wins from six matches which they will look to build on.
- Kagiso Rabada took four wickets in the win over RCB and he is the leading wicket-taker in the tournament as he continues to enjoy an excellent campaign so far, the bowling attack is playing well and keeping Delhi competitive in matches.
- Sandeep Lamichhane was expensive in the last match going for 46 from his four overs and he has not been quite as influential as the Capitals would have hoped but they are likely to stick with him here in what should be an unchanged side.
THE PREDICTION
Delhi Capitals come into this match following an excellent win over IPL whipping boys Royal Challengers Bangalore on Sunday but they may lose a little momentum due to the gap between matches. Kolkata Knight Riders will be motivated to return to playing in front of their home fans and determined to bounce back from the loss to Chennai on a miserable pitch. They will relish conditions in Kolkata and they should have too much firepower for the Capitals here.
