- Delhi had their finals’ hopes dented against the juggernaut of Sunrisers Hyderabad last time out as their total of 163 proved to be too little with SRH reaching the total with a ball to spare.
- The lack of quality in the Delhi batting order was once again on show as Prithvi Shaw and Shreyas Iyer posted a second wicket partnership of 86 to take Delhi to a reasonably comfortable platform of 2/95 from 10 overs but they failed to capitalise on a solid foundation.
- Glenn Maxwell has had a tournament to forget and he could well lose his spot for the return match against SRH as changes may be on the cards to give some of the younger players some match time.
SUNRISERS HYDERABAD

- The Sunrisers have won their fifth game in a row with a win over Bangalore putting them a clear at the top of the table a s they continue to shine. After posting another relatively average total of 146, the bowling unit once again went to work and successfully defended the total, coming away with a narrow five run victory.
- Of the five lowest totals defended in IPL 2018, Sunrisers Hyderabad have defended four of these totals, further validating the credentials of this elite bowling unit and their confidence is growing by the game.
- Sunrisers Hyderabad look settled and would be reluctant to make any changes unless there are any players that may need a rest ahead of the play-offs for which they have already qualified.
THE PREDICTION
This match looks to be a one sided affair, but we have seen throughout this tournament that anything can happen especially with nothing riding on this game. Sunrisers Hyderabad have been so dominant throughout the campaign and rarely look like losing. Delhi have struggled all year and have just the three wins so for them to beat SRH in the return match, the Delhi batsmen will need to find some form and try to get on top of the dominant Hyderabad bowling unit. Whilst a win for Delhi is not out of the question given that the Sunrisers may rotate their players and relax, it would seem highly unlikely with the Sunrisers' winning streak set to continue.
