Adelaide United’s form seems to be deserting them at just the wrong time, with no win in their last four league outings meaning they are in danger of falling out of the top six should this continue. They will look to return to winning ways but that won’t be easy as they play host to arguably the most in form team in the division at present.
Ernie Merrick’s Newcastle Jets are unbeaten in their last six league matches, while having won four. Couple that with Sydney FC’s recent slump and this side will have a belief that they can still finish the regular season as table toppers. Should this fixture follow the form book and they pick up another win, then they will only further increase those chances.

January 24th, 2015 will most definitely be a day to forget for Newcastle Jets fans. The reason being is that this was the day that their beloved club travelled to Adelaide and were heavily beaten.
