- Warrington were on the end of a shock defeat against Hull KR as their bid to keep pace with league leaders St. Helens suffered a huge blow with Hull FC now just four points behind the Wolves in second spot.
- Wire will make at least one change to their side this week with Harvey Livett going out on loan whilst Daryl Clark and Joe Philbin are back in the squad with both expected to come back into the matchday 17.
- That means Warrington have named a 20-man squad for this week’s game but there is still no place for rugby union recruit Luther Burrell who continues to work on his transition to his new sport.

- Wakefield's miserable run of form continued as they lost their fifth consecutive game in all competitions as their season nosedives and now face a tough trip to Warrington who will be looking to bounce back after a shock defeat last week.
- Trinity are desperate to get some bodies back and whilst star man David Fifita has been named in the 19-man squad, it is still unclear if he will be fit enough to take his place in the side.
- Mason Caton-Brown also comes into contention after injury whilst there is also a call-up for youngster Connor Bailey but Tyler Randell and Danny Kirmond are out through injuries with Ben Reynolds also dropping out.
THE PREDICTION
Warrington will be looking to respond to last week's loss against Hull KR and have the perfect opportunity to do so on home soil against an out-of-sorts Wakefield. Daryl Clark will return to the Warrington side which will be a big boost after he was sorely missed last week. His presence, coupled with a desire to right the wrongs of last week, should be enough to see the Wolves claim the two points with Wakefield’s run without a win likely to be extended.
