  • Wakefield fell to yet another close loss as their comeback against Warrington didn't materialise into a win with Danny Brough’s conversion to level the scores late on hitting the posts as their poor start ultimately cost them.

  • Trinity are rumoured to be trying to re-sign Mason Caton-Brown following the season-ending injury to winger Tom Johnstone but the club have yet to formalise any transfer business.

  • Bill Tupou has returned to the squad in place of Jordan Baldwinson last week but the powerful centre still has to prove his fitness and will undergo some late tests to determine his availability.

  • Salford came out second best in an entertaining clash against Wigan last week and will now look to bounce back against Wakefield as they look to stay in the hunt for a top 5 spot at this early point in the season.

  • The Red Devils are set to be without Ken Sio for a prolonged period after the winger suffered a suspected torn groin last week but have moved quickly to boost their squad after signing free agent Krisnan Inu.

  • He comes straight into the squad and is joined by Greg Burke and Junior Sa’u but Logan Tomkins and Ben Nakubuwai join Sio on the sidelines with Ian Watson forced into several changes.

THE PREDICTION

Wakefield were left to rue a poor start that saw them fall 18 points behind early on against Warrington with their late comeback coming up just short with Danny Brough's kick to level the game striking the post. They will look to start quickly against Salford in what should be a highly entertaining game. Both teams are capable of scoring points which could see an open, free-flowing game with lots of points and whilst either side could come out on top, Wakefield can edge it on home soil.
