- Salford ended their streak of four matches without a win in league and cup as they were far too good for Wakefield last week and have put themselves right back in the mix for a play-off spot.
- The Red Devils were able to recall Mark Flanagan last week with Derrell Olpherts also back on the wing with both set to play again here but the Red Devils will be without injured pair Ben Nakubuwai and George Griffin.
- Greg Johnson comes back into the squad whilst Ryan Lannon could make his return to the Salford side after joining on a loan-swap deal with Daniel Murray heading in the other direction to Hull KR.

- Their opponents in this game sit just one place below in the table and two competition points behind them and a sixth loss in eight games would see the Tigers drop out of the top 5 with Salford leapfrogging them.
- Daryl Powell is unable to call upon any of the five players still out through injury and that means he names an unchanged 19-man squad this week with those players needing to work hard to get the Tigers back on track.
THE PREDICTION
Salford blow hot and cold but last week was definitely hot as they closed the gap on the teams above them as they eye a move back towards the top 5. They host the team currently occupying the last of those play-off spots in Castleford who are very much out of form and the Red Devils can win again. They will need to replicate last week’s performance but are capable of doing so, especially against a side that are short of form.
