THE TEAM NEWS
HULL KR
Head Coach: Tim Sheens
Squad: Addy, Atkin, Dagger, Drinkwater, Garbutt, Hall, Hauraki, Jewitt, Keinhorst, Lannon, Lawler, Lee, Linnett, Masoe, McGuire, Mulhern, Shaw, Tomkins, Vaivai
Unavailable: Adam Quinlan, Shaun Lunt, Nick Scruton, Ben Crooks, James Greenwood
- Hull KR made it two wins from two at KCOM Craven Park when
beating London last week and can make it three home wins if they topple
Salford in what looks to be an intriguing contest.
- Rovers will be without Ben Crooks after he played on despite
having suffered two fractured vertebrae in his back against London and
he will sit out for a significant length of time as Ryan Shaw comes into
the squad.
- James Greenwood is also out after suffering a concussion last week but Danny Addy and captain Joel Tomkins have been named after missing out last week through shoulder and concussion issues respectively.
SALFORD RED DEVILS
Head Coach: Ian Watson
Squad: Bibby, Burke, Dudson, Evalds, Flanagan, Griffin, Hastings, Jones, Lussick, Lui, McCarthy, Mossop, Nakubuwai, Olpherts, Sa’u, Sio, Tomkins, Turgut, Welham
Unavailable: Ed Chamberlain, Josh Wood, Mark Flanagan
- Salford went down to their first loss of the season and it was a
heavy one as Leeds nearly put 50 points past them last weekend with a
much improved performance needed as they travel to Hull KR.
- The Red Devils may opt to make changes to their side having
named the same team in all three games at the start of this season but
head coach Ian Watson has only made one change to the initial 19-man
squad.
- Daniel Murray comes into the squad for the first time this season as he replaces Mark Flanagan but Tyrone McCarthy and Jake Bibby are also pushing for places in the side having not been required so far this season.
THE PREDICTION
Salford's response will be an interesting one after they were hammered by Leeds last week. They face a tough trip to Hull KR who have won both of their games on home soil to start the season and will be keen to extend their unbeaten home record. Their home form will be key if Rovers have any aspirations of making the play-offs this year and this will be a good test for them but they are capable of just edging this one.
