- Huddersfield put in one of their better performances of the season as they claimed an important and comfortable victory over Salford to ease their relegation worries but they will need to back that win up with a home clash against Catalans.
- The Giants may have wanted to name an unchanged 19-man squad with head coach Simon Woolford unlikely to make any changes to his matchday 17 following such a good win but he has been forced into at least one change with Adam O’Brien ruled out through injury.
- Youngster Dominic Young takes his place in the squad but he is unlikely to play whilst skipper Leroy Cudjoe will miss out with a hamstring injury as he attempts to work his way back to full fitness following a long spell on the sidelines.

- Catalans ended their five-match losing streak in all competitions as they were impressive winners over play-off rivals Wakefield last week and will now look to make it back-to-back wins as they travel to Huddersfield.
- The Dragons were able to welcome back several of their injured players last week and they all appeared to come through the game unscathed with Steve McNamara able to name the same 17 as last week if he wishes.
- McNamara makes just one change to his 19-man squad with back rower Mickael Goudemand coming back into contention whilst Matty Smith is omitted after he was dropped from the side last week.
THE PREDICTION
Both Huddersfield and Catalans collected valuable victories last week as they helped their respective predicaments but will need to back that up with another win here. Despite both racking up big scores last week, this could be a close contest which could go either way and is very difficult to call. Both have suffered with inconsistency this season and it will depend which side turn up but if the Dragons can match last week’s performance, they can be the ones to edge this contest.
