- St. George allowed New Zealand Warriors to score 20 unanswered points in the second half as they blew a 12-point half-time lead which means the Dragons have now lost three consecutive games.
- The Dragons lacked some direction without Corey Norman in the halves but will have to get by without him until at least Round 12 whilst Korbin Sims’ expected return for this game has not materialised.
- Jack de Belin’s ban by the NRL was also upheld this week as he awaits his court case so there will be no reprieve for him and that sees head coach Paul McGregor name the same 17 as last week.

- Newcastle made it three consecutive victories as they saw off Canterbury in a closely fought encounter in the Magic Round and will now travel to an out-of-form St. George as they look to make it four.
- The Knights had doubts over Connor Watson and Edrick Lee at the beginning of the week after they suffered knocks last week but both appear to have recovered sufficiently and should take to the field.
- That sees Nathan Brown name an unchanged side for this week’s encounter with the Newcastle head coach delighted with his side’s recent performances as they seek four-straight wins for the first time since 2015.
THE PREDICTION
St. George lost for the third game running but will be bitterly disappointed with the manner in which they went down to New Zealand Warriors after they had a healthy half-time lead. They now host a Newcastle side starting to click into gear after three straight wins and can make it four here. These two were involved in a thriller last time they met with Corey Norman’s golden point field-goal the difference but they have both gone in different directions since then and Newcastle look the better side at the minute.
