- South Sydney lost their fourth game in a row as they went down to Wests Tigers and will hope the bye week can allow them to refocus but they will be without some big players once again for this contest.
- George Burgess will begin his nine-match ban for eye-gouging whilst brother Sam was set to return but has suffered a setback with his recovery from shoulder surgery and an infection may rule him out for another couple of games.
- Ethan Lowe is named amongst the reserves after his Origin debut on Wednesday and is not expected to play at this point whilst Alex Johnston is still struggling with a knee injury so Adam Doueihi will start at fullback.

- Manly made it three consecutive wins to keep themselves within touching distance of the top 4 after beating Gold Coast last time out and another win here against one of those teams above them would put them right in the mix.
- Brad Parker could come back into contention for the Sea Eagles after he returned in the Canterbury Cup last week following a broken jaw but will have to be a late inclusion with him only listed as a reserve at this point.
- Star fullback Tom Trbojevic will be rested after his appearance for the Blues in Origin, despite initially featuring in the Manly team at the start of the week, and he will be replaced by Brendan Elliot.
THE PREDICTION
South Sydney are stuck in a rut at the moment as their hopes of claiming the minor premiership continue to falter following a fourth successive loss. They now host an in-form Manly side who will be looking to continue their own winning run and can pile more pressure on the Rabbitohs. With a weakened pack set to take the field, the Bunnies will have it all to do against a buoyant Manly team who can make it four wins in a row.
