- Manly produced a valiant comeback against reigning Premiers Sydney Roosters last week but ultimately fell short and suffered another loss as they head to Christchurch for this contest.
- Addin Fonua-Blake will return from suspension for the Sea Eagles whilst star fullback Tom Trbojevic is named to start his first game of the season having managed to overcome a hamstring injury.
- Brendan Elliot makes way for Trbojevic as he drops to the reserves whilst Fonua-Blake comes in for Kelepi Tanginoa with Toafofoa Sipley reverting to the bench and there is still no place for Trent Hodkinson in the 17.

- New Zealand Warriors didn't get their away campaign off to a good start as they were comprehensively defeated by Wests Tigers as they failed to back-up their impressive win in Round 1.
- Issac Luke returned in the hooking role in Round 2 for the Warriors but fellow rake Nathaniel Roache could be missing for a couple of weeks at least after suffering from a problem with his calf.
- Sam Lisone is out for the Warriors after copping a two-week ban with Stephen Kearney opting to carry a back on the bench in his place so Gerard Beale given a chance for this contest.
THE PREDICTION
New Zealand Warriors will be looking to put last week's disappointing display behind them as they take on Manly at Christchurch Stadium. Manly are still searching for their first win of the season and could be boosted by the return of Tom Trbojevic but the Warriors should have too much. They will also feel they have an advantage with the game being played in New Zealand although it’s a Manly home game and they will look to try and overpower the Sea Eagles early on.
