- Canterbury suffered their fourth successive loss as they were comfortably defeated by Sydney Roosters to remain at the foot of the ladder.
- Jack Cogger, Brandon Wakeham, Adam Elliott and Jayden Okunbor are all in with a chance of returning for the Bulldogs who will ring the changes this week but Okunbor is the only one not named in their squad.
- Wakeham and Elliott will need late call-ups having been listed as reserves whilst Cogger comes back into the starting side in the halves whilst Michael Lichaa and Ofahiki Ogden come into the 17 with Jeremy Marshall-King, Fa’amanu Brown and Raymod Faitala-Mariner all making way.

- Cronulla did brilliantly to fight their way back from 20-0 down against Canberra but still lost despite getting themselves level and will fancy their chances of bouncing back from that loss against bottom of the ladder Canterbury.
- The Sharks will be without Andrew Fifita after he failed to have his ban overturned following a charge of dangerous contact but Aaron Woods could come into the side before kick-off after he was retained in the reserves 24 hours out from the game.
- Braden Hamlin-Uele and Wade Graham are promoted to the run-on side whilst Jayden Brailey also returns from injury with his brother Blayke dropping to the bench along with Kurt Capewell.
THE PREDICTION
Canterbury will hope the week off can allow them to regroup following a run of four games without a win but face a tough test against a solid Cronulla side. The Sharks will be looking to bounce back after losing against Canberra in their last outing and should be able to win here. The Bulldogs have opted to name Nick Meaney on the wing with Dallin Watene-Zeleniak which they will hope can spark their attacking play but the Sharks should be able to keep them at bay to keep their top 4 hopes on track.
