Taylor Fritz will be the relative unknown on Friday in front of an Eastbourne crowd likely fully behind the British number one Kyle Edmund, and the young American will have to deal with that pressure. The pair have never faced each other before, and while Edmund is the better player on paper, Fritz has a lot of experience this year in knocking out top 30 players. However, Edmund’s rallying to win against Dan Evans, who looked in excellent form all week, showed a grit that has been missing from his game and he must relish the chance to reach a British tournament final. The home crowd can swing it Edmund’s way.
