- It is fair to say that the clay court season does not suit big-hitting American Sam Querrey but he is flying high on grass at Eastbourne after putting out Fernando Verdasco in straight sets.
- The 31-year-old will face Thomas Fabbiano in the semi-finals of Eastbourne in his fourth year at the tournament, equalling his semi-final placing from 2014 where he lost to Feliciano Lopez.

THE PREDICTION
5”7 Thomas Fabbiano will face a relative giant in 6”6 Sam Querrey in a classic David vs Goliath scenario that should produce a memorable game. While Querrey has shown more consistent form of late, Fabbiano has plenty of weapons and has taken out Laslo Djere and Gilles Simon in this tournament and offers an unorthodox problem to solve. The Italian brought down another American behemoth in 6”11 Reilly Opelka in five sets at the Australian Open this year, suggesting this match could go to a decider before either David or Goliath emerges victorious.
