USA
- The USA had a comfortable opening win against Guyana with the host nation running out 4-0 winners against the lowest ranked side in the tournament.
- Two goals from Tyler Boyd along with a goal each from Paul Arriola and Gyasi Zardes secured the win as the USA dominated possession, created plenty of chances and they might have won by more.

- Trinidad and Tobago face an uphill task to qualify after losing 2-0 to Panama in their opening match, and they need to take at least a point from this fixture to realistically keep alive their hopes of making the quarter-finals.

It will be difficult to assess how strong the USA actually are until they face sterner tests but they can only beat who is in front of them.
