HAITI
- Haiti have already booked their place in the quarter-finals of the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup ahead of this match with victories over Bermuda and Nicaragua in their opening two matches of the tournament.
- After opening their Gold Cup campaign with a comeback win over Bermuda, they defeated Nicaragua 2-0 with two deflected first half goals deciding the outcome of the game.
- Haiti have looked solid defensively in their opening two matches with only one goal conceded but they are sure to be tested against more accomplished opponents than they have faced so far.
COSTA RICA
- With two wins from their opening two matches, Costa Rica are already through to the quarter-finals and can secure their place as group winners with a draw against Haiti.
- Having defeated Nicaragua 4-0 on matchday one, they edged past Bermuda 2-1 in their last outing, though their goal tally could have been higher but for some excellent saves from the Bermudan keeper Dale Eve.

Both Haiti and Costa Rica have already confirmed qualification for the quarter-finals of the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup and are playing to earn top spot in the group, and in doing so they would avoid a quarter-final tie against Mexico and Costa Rica have the advantage of needing only a draw to secure their place a group winners. Although Haiti have won both games in the tournament so far, they face a much tougher test here so expect Costa Rica to win this game.
