THE TEAM NEWS
TANZANIA
- Tanzania were left heartbroken as they twice surrendered the lead against Kenya and after falling behind late on, their fate in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations was sealed as they were eliminated from the competition.
- Simon Msuva gave his side an early lead and despite Kenya equalising just before half-time, Tanzania hit straight back to retake the lead thanks to Mbwana Samatta but two second half goals for Kenya confirmed Tanzania’s exit.
- With just pride to play for, Tanzania may look to rotate their side to give some of their squad players some game time with several of them still to play a single minute in the tournament so far.
ALGERIA
- Algeria won their pivotal game with Senegal with that result enough to see them progress to the last 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations with a game to spare but will now want to finish top of Group C.
- The game was decided by just the single goal with Youcef Belaili’s strike just after half-time providing to be the difference between the two teams which gave Algeria their second successive victory.
- With progression to the knockout phase secure, Algeria may look to rotate their side but may decide against making too many changes as they attempt to win the group and ensure what should be an easier route to the final.

THE PREDICTION
Algeria will be heading into the last 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations whilst Tanzania will be heading home after they were knocked out. Their defeat against Kenya confirmed their fate and they will now look to try and pick up their first points of the tournament in their final group game. That will be a tough ask regardless of the team that Algeria field as they have shown to be one of the strongest teams in the competition so far and should be able to maintain their 100% record in this contest.
