WEST COAST EAGLES
- West Coast Eagles made it three wins in a row as the reigning premiers annihilated local rivals Fremantle Dockers in their derby last time out with the Eagles hitting form at the right time.
- The Eagles won by a margin of 91 points and look ominous in their pursuit of back-to-back premierships but will have to take that form into a tricky contest with third-placed Collingwood.
- West Coast will make two changes from their thumping win last week with Liam Duggan and Brendon Ah Chee ruled out through injury but star goalkicker Josh Kennedy is back in the fold whilst Tom Cole also returns.
COLLINGWOOD
- Collingwood’s dip in form has come at a bad time with their second successive defeat seeing them lose ground in their bid to climb to the top of the ladder and they now face second-placed West Coast Eagles in a huge game
- John Noble will make his debut for Collingwood after he was picked up from the mid-season draft with the 22-year-old set for a baptism of fire in this important contest that could go a long way to determining the final standings on the ladder.

For the rest of the teams in the AFL, West Coast Eagles’ recent run to form will set alarm bells ringing as last year’s premiership winners shape as the most likely side to win this year’s competition. They are hitting form at the right time and looked ominously good in their demolition of Fremantle last week. They will face tougher opposition here in what is an important eight-pointer but Collingwood’s dip in form has come at the wrong time and the Eagles can capitalise to open up some daylight between themselves and the Magpies.
