• Widnes fell to a disappointing defeat at home to Huddersfield last week with the Giants winning 16-28. The Vikings weren’t helped by Wellington Albert’s red card which has seen him pick up a two-match ban.
• Albert, Hep Cahill, Tom Gilmore and Jay Chapelhow all miss out from this week’s 19-man squad and are replaced by Ryan Ince, Brad Walker, Macgraff Leuluai and Ted Chapelhow.
• Widnes have conceded an average of 18.2 points per game this season and will need to produce a performance to bring that number down if they are to compete with Wakefield.

THE PREDICTION

Wakefield tasted defeat for the first time this season against Wigan last week and will now look to get back to winning ways when they host Widnes. The Vikings also come into the game off the back of a defeat after a disappointing loss at home to Huddersfield. Wakefield were perhaps unfortunate last week after they had several tries disallowed and will bounce back with a win this week.
