Anna Bondar vs Qinwen Zheng prediction

Qinwen Zheng may have nose-dived in the rankings but her return to tour is showing promise.

The Chinese missed five months but has started to find sharpness with most of her defeats coming against the WTA elite of Aryna Sabalenka and Elena Rybakina.

First up in Rome, the world number 32 meets Anna Bondar.

The Hungarian has been impressing on clay and made the round of 16 in Madrid. 

That said, Zheng has never lost a set to the world number 58, winning their previous two matches which includes a  7-6 6-4 victory at this tournament back in 2023.

We don’t see it being third time lucky for Bondar and Zheng should keep building headway back towards what should be an inevitable return to the top ten at some point.
