Andrey Rublev vs Carlos Alcaraz prediction

Andrey Rublev comfortably booked a place in the round-of-16 of Wimbledon as he beat Adrian Mannarino. The Russian dropped his serve just once as he defeated Mannarino 7-5 6-2 6-3. He’s rarely been troubled in his opening three matches, and he can now look forward to a match with Carlos Alcaraz in round four.

Alcaraz battled through his match with Jan-Lennard Struff to extend his winning run to 21 matches in total. He still struggled at times, losing the second set after going an early break up while he also saved a break point deep in the fourth with a carefully constructed point which thrilled the spectators on Centre Court. The Spaniard then broke the Struff serve at 4-4 and served it out quickly to seal a 6-1 3-6 6-3 6-4 win.

Alcaraz leads the head-to-head 2-1, having beaten Rublev in two previous editions of the World Tour Finals but this will be their first match on grass. The Spaniard is still struggling with his serve at times and hasn’t been able to maintain his level which could give Rublev some hope. However, Alcaraz is likely to profit from the Russian’s weak second serve and should have enough opportunities to win.

Andrey Rublev vs Carlos Alcaraz tip: Carlos Alcaraz to win 3-1
